She began her entertainment career in Taipei, Taiwan where she was studying Chinese and modeling in 1989. She auditioned for a local comedy series a la "Saturday Night Live" and got a reoccurring role where she played numerous characters. She moved to L.A. in 1992 to continue her study of acting and impersonations. Her physical resemblance to Marilyn Monroe was soon discovered as well as her ability to impersonate the voices of Marilyn Monroe,Judy Garland, Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Olivia Newton-John, Stevie Nicks and many others with amazing exactness.
